Armenia Will Never Agree to Azerbaijan Becoming a CSTO Partner
Armenia will never agree to Azerbaijan becoming an observer or partner country within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This statement was made during the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, while discussing the ratification of the Second Protocol amending the Collective Security Treaty signed on May 15, 1992. The chairman of the committee, Ruben Rubinyan, a member of the ruling 'My Step' alliance, made this assertion on September 5.
'Why am I confident about this? Because Armenia will never agree to that,' Rubinyan emphasized.
