Pobeda Plans to Leave Armenian Market Due to Revasian – Hraparak

Hraparak newspaper writes: 'Yesterday, Tigran Avinyan posted a photo on his page, mentioning that he met with the Deputy President of the Irish airline Ryanair and the Head of Route Development, along the shores of Lake Sevan at the Artists’ Union rest house, to discuss issues regarding the company's potential entry into Armenia.' In fact, one airline is being invited to Armenia while another is being pushed out.

The relationship between Tatyana Revasian, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee, and the Russian airline Pobeda remains tense. Recently, Revasian stated that issues with Pobeda had been resolved, but was quickly met with a denial from the airline. The day before, civil aviation and the Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a statement claiming that the tail of a Pobeda aircraft had been damaged due to a hard landing. Pobeda again denied this information. This once again indicates that Pobeda intends to leave the Armenian market as a result of Revasian's actions.
