External Debt Will Increase by Year-End: Atom Janjughazyan
The dynamics of the state debt allows us to conclude that the risks are manageable. This was stated today by the Minister of Finance of Armenia, Atom Janjughazyan, during a conversation with reporters.
According to Janjughazyan, there are no unforeseen or unpredictable negative changes. "At the end of each month, we publish a bulletin with all the details within five days. The dynamics throughout the year can show both increases and decreases in both external and internal debt, and it can trend upwards one month and downwards the next. However, generally speaking, evaluations regarding state debt are based on annual reporting results, as this allows for assessing and making judgments about how the debt burden has developed. This dynamic allows us to refrain from discussing unmanageable state debt. It is assumed that the nominal debt will increase before the end of the year, but this does not mean that we are observing an increase in the debt of internal relationships," he noted.
