Armenia is Not Facebook: Gohar Abajyan

Gohar Abajyan, the wife of Ararat Mirzoyan, writes on Facebook: 'Armenian Facebook is gradually diminishing the opportunities for objectivity, sobriety, and healthy substantive discussion. Emotionality, sarcasm, insults, and the obsession to be the only wise person have become unbearable.

There is air-based journalism, contextually detached thoughts that spread rapidly without substance, 'objectives' suffering from the obsession of their own correctness and rejoicing in the failures of others, 'democratic' fighters threatening with ultimatums, arrogant marginal lawyers, and politically principled figures who talk about principles yet lack them.

The encouraging part is that Armenia is not Facebook.'
