Cow Slaughtered Before Dying in Geghahovit, Meat Sold

In the village of Geghahovit, located in the Gegharkunik Province, a cow infected with Siberian ulcer was slaughtered before dying and its meat was sold to around 38 families. This information was disclosed to SHANTNEWS.am by the head of the Food Safety Inspection Body, Georgi Avetisyan.

It is known that those who consumed the meat have been transported to the "Nork" Infectious Diseases Hospital. It has been noted that the owner of the cow refused to vaccinate the animal, which became the cause of the disease.

Additionally, a case of anthrax among pigs was registered in the Syunik Province yesterday, prompting a laboratory investigation.
