Strengthened Police Operations in Gegharkunik Province, 22 Individuals Detained

On August 11, the police departments of the Gegharkunik regional administration, including the subdivisions in Vardenis, Gavar, Martuni, Chambarak, and Sevan, carried out a strengthened operation. Hundreds of police officers were involved in this effort.

The purpose of the operation was to prevent, detect, and reveal criminal activities and violations of the law.

As a result, 22 individuals were detained on suspicion and brought to the police stations, 9 of whom had previously been convicted of various crimes. Furthermore, several drivers were identified for gross violations of traffic rules.

Administrative violation reports were drawn up for some of these violations, and several vehicles were transferred to a special area maintained by the traffic police.
