Taxi Driver Sold Fake Cognac to Foreigner
On August 4, at 3:34 PM, a foreign citizen reported to the Central Police Department that on August 2, at 2:00 PM, he had given 60,000 drams to a taxi driver of an Opel vehicle on Bagratunyants Street to purchase cognac aged for 20 years. The driver sold him a liquid resembling home-made cognac.
During the initial investigation, the officers of the Shengavit Police Department identified the driver. The 66-year-old Yerevan resident appeared at the Shengavit Police Department on August 12 at 10:45 AM and provided a confession. Investigations are ongoing.
