Forest Fire Area in Siberia Reaches 266.4 Thousand Hectares
The area affected by forest fires in Siberia has begun to decrease. This was reported by the federal service for aerial forest protection.
As of August 13, the forest fire area covered 266.4 thousand hectares, with a total of 159 fire focal points. Just a day earlier, the area of burning land was 283.2 hectares, and the number of fire focal points was 202.
The emergency regime remains in effect in the Irkutsk region, Krasnoyarsk territory, Buryatia, and Yakutia.
