A Major Accident in Ararat Province: Lada and ZIL Truck Collide, ZIL Overturns

A major traffic accident occurred in Ararat Province today. Around 07:30, on the 12 km stretch of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, in the administrative area of Masis, a collision took place between a Lada passenger vehicle and a ZIL truck.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the collision, the ZIL truck overturned and ended up on the metal barriers of the road divider, causing damage.

The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured. The photojournalist also reports that emergency situations minister Felix Tsolakyan was passing by the accident site; he stopped to inquire about the condition of the injured from the police and stated that if there was a need for rescuers, they could come close.
