A Car Accident in Ararat Region: The Vehicle Turned to Ashes
In the Ararat region, around 20:30 yesterday, the driver of a ВАЗ 2106 car lost control and veered off the road on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at the 83 km mark, in the Tigranashen (Kyarkhi) bends. The vehicle crashed into concrete barriers and partially hung off the edge of a cliff.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a fire broke out in the car following the accident. Emergency services, including the fire brigade from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, arrived at the scene with a response team. However, the vehicle was completely reduced to ashes.
Police and investigators discovered a charred body inside the vehicle.
