Vanadzor-Gyumri Highway Closed Due to Artificial Rockfall, MoE Reports
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that as of August 5 at 11:10 AM, the highways in Armenia are passable. However, since 10:45 AM on August 5, the Vanadzor-Gyumri highway has been closed due to an artificial rockfall.
The alternative route is the Spitak-Jrashent-Shirakamut highway.
Meanwhile, construction works are ongoing on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, causing that segment to be closed for trucks.
The following alternative routes have been established: Stepanavan-Tashir-Gogavan and Dilijan-Novemberyan-Bagratashen.
