Criminal Case Initiated Following Explosion on Yerevan-Sevan Highway

A criminal case has been initiated concerning the explosion that occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

According to the Investigative Committee, the case was opened under Article 34–104, Part 2, Item 6 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which stipulates attempted murder in a manner endangering many lives, and Article 235, Part 1, which concerns the illegal acquisition and possession of weapons and ammunition. Investigators are currently working at the scene of the incident.

Earlier, it was reported that an explosion took place near the bottle factory on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, damaging two vehicles and the asphalt on the road.
