Video: Fight to Ban Sale of Expired Products

In order to identify, prevent, and ban the sale of expired products in commercial establishments in the capital, as well as to protect residents from food poisoning, the trade and services department of the Yerevan Municipality continues to carry out inspections.

During the measures taken, on July 26, 2019, officials from the department discovered various and numerous expired products, particularly food items, at the "Shirak" supermarket, owned by the company "Eva and Syuzie," located at 9 Sundukyan Street. The director and employees of the "Shirak" supermarket attempted to hide these products, indicating that they were knowingly selling expired food items.

The Yerevan Municipality once again urges businesses to refrain from selling products without a shelf life or those that have expired.
