During today's government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reminded that last year residents of forested areas were given forest debris, and some were also provided with grants to start activities in other sectors.

Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Suren Papikyan reported that many participants of yesterday's protests were even offered jobs in the road construction sector, as there is a labor shortage in Tavush for road construction.

"In general, in various places, not only in road construction but also in other areas of the region, the governor spoke about around 200 job vacancies yesterday," said Papikyan.

In response to Papikyan, the Prime Minister said, "So, those people who say that 'we work for our bread', can 200 people now be employed?"

"Yes, the offer was made by the governor, and they did not respond to the governor, stating that they have a demand, and this demand should be met," noted Papikyan.

The minister stated that the protesters were told that this demand would not be met. The Prime Minister added that today, if people apply to the governor's office, they can be employed with a salary ranging from 8,000 to 15,000 drams per day.
