Asphalt, Asphalt... Up to the Door
The street construction project in Gyumri is being executed with numerous deficiencies. To cover up design inaccuracies and construction mistakes, builders are resorting to new tricks, reports Shantnews.am.
On Gertsen Street in Gyumri, where construction started about a year ago and is still not completed, work on paving the sidewalks began a few days ago. It became clear that the entrances of residences located near the sidewalk were obstructing the paving work.
Some residents managed to raise their gates and entrances wherever possible, while others found their entrances paved over. Just yesterday, workers had closed the doors of one of the neighborhood's apartments with asphalt, and for others, they had reached a standstill—either they would have to close all the doors with asphalt or make design alterations.
