Cause of Death Revealed for Mamud Shaverdyan, Bread Distributor in Russia
It has been reported that Mamud Shaverdyan, a businessman and philanthropist who distributed free bread in Russia for over 10 years, has passed away. Although the media initially described him as ethnic Armenian, it is now clarified that Shaverdyan was actually of Yezidi descent.
The cause of Shaverdyan's death was an insulin-related condition; he felt unwell overnight, was hospitalized, fell into a coma, and ultimately passed away. He visited Armenia every year with his family.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Shaverdyan's brother, Nver Shaverdyan, stated, “Mamud loved his village, and he never forgot his school where he received his education. He wanted that school to always prosper so that children could receive an education.”
Shaverdyan was 58 years old, born in the village of Rya Taza in the Aragatsotn Province, and had been living in Russia since 1992. The funeral service will be held today in his native village, with the burial set for tomorrow.
