Macron Says France Will Not Sell Weapons to Azerbaijan That Could Be Used in Artsakh
“Macron has stated that France will never sell Azerbaijan weapons that could be used in Artsakh,” said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Anna Naghdalyan, during a briefing held on July 3.
She responded to questions regarding media reports about the sale of weapons by France to Azerbaijan. According to her, Armenia consistently raises the issue of the arms race in the region both on a bilateral and multilateral level.
Naghdalyan also added that on February 5, during an event organized by the Coordinating Committee of Armenian Organizations in France, Emmanuel Macron stated that France, unlike other countries, is the only nation that strictly adheres to its obligations under the arms embargo.
