My Vote Was Registered Against Due to a Technical Issue: Ruben Rubinyan

In Strasbourg, on behalf of the Armenian delegation, I welcomed the Russian delegation that returned to the assembly and its head, Pyotr Tolstoy. He stated on his Facebook page: “I was also glad to meet again with our parliamentary colleague, the chairman of the committee Leonid Kalashnikov, who is also a member of the delegation.”

I would like to inform you that during the vote that took place yesterday, my vote was registered against due to a technical issue rather than in favor. I addressed this matter during the plenary session of the PACE today, and my statement was attached to the minutes of the meeting. Contrary to some ominous predictions, there has absolutely been no issue between us and our Russian colleagues; we are discussing the possibility of organizing a reconciliation evening.

Previously, we reported that the Armenian delegation partially voted in favor of the resolution regarding the return of the Russian delegation.
