«Irates». Movses Hakobyan Shows Ambitions

«Irates» newspaper reports: In the context of the pre-election processes in Artsakh, quite interesting information is circulating. Ahead of the 2020 elections, the former commander of the defense army and currently the military inspector of the RA Prime Minister, Movses Hakobyan, is also demonstrating presidential ambitions.

Interestingly, a petition initiated by another former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, aims to "open a window" for citizens registered in Armenia to participate in the presidential elections in Artsakh, has received a significant response in the Martuni region. Locals attribute this to Movses Hakobyan’s peculiar interest (he is from Martuni).

The fact is that Movses Hakobyan is also unable to run under the current Constitution of Artsakh; therefore, he has internally directed his supporters to actively engage in the petition campaign ahead of the elections, 10 months in advance.
