Journalist Detained for Extortion of Large Amounts of Money
According to Yerevanpress, on June 19, officers from the Organized Crime Department (6th Division) of the police detained Gayane Manukyan, a resident of Yerevan, while she was committing extortion with a high-ranking police official. The 6th Division revealed that Manukyan is the editor-in-chief of the news site Hzham.am, and the amount extorted is approximately 400,000 drams.
