A Major Battle is Anticipated in Parliament
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "A major battle is anticipated in parliament today. The first item on the agenda is the filling of the vacant position of a Constitutional Court judge. It should be noted that the President of Armenia has nominated the favored Vahé Grigoryan, but his candidacy is not unanimously accepted by the opposition and various segments of the public, as people expected that the 'rules' of old Armenia would no longer be in effect, and loyalists would not be appointed to non-partisan, non-political positions.
Other items on the agenda of the upcoming four-day session include the election of a member of the Council of Court Issues, a draft of the budget execution, the annual report of the Audit Chamber, as well as the establishment of a commission of inquiry regarding the activities of the Water Committee, its structural subdivisions, and the activities of the Water Economy State Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure in the Ararat and Armavir regions, its justification and issues.
