Traffic Accident in Syunik Region: Two Cars Collide

Today, a major traffic accident occurred in the Syunik region. According to Shamshyan.com, around 12:55 PM, two vehicles collided on the 207 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway. The cars involved were an Opel, driven by 23-year-old Aren Hakobyan from Sisian, and a Lada, driven by 30-year-old Armen Avetisyan from Yerevan.

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reported that as a result of the collision, the Lada veered off the roadway and ended up in a field. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to the Sisian military hospital. Citizens were the first to assist the injured, and the driver of the Lada was extricated from their vehicle by the Sisian firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who quickly arrived on the scene. Doctors also acted promptly, providing medical assistance to the injured before transporting them to the hospital.
