Arthur Vanetsyan, the director of the National Security Service, is ashamed not of the content of the wiretap but of the fact of the wiretap itself. He made this statement during an interview with Shant TV on June 14.

“It is very unfortunate that such an incident occurred, and I want to say that I am not ashamed of the content of the wiretap; I take it very heavily and I am ashamed of the fact of the wiretap. But if we look at everything objectively and soberly, it is simply impossible to rule out such incidents in light of the development of technology. From the leaders of the most powerful states in the world to others, similar stories have surfaced, and today we are trying to do everything we can to prevent such incidents from happening again,” said Arthur Vanetsyan.

He also mentioned that he is not aware of the details of the case since it pertains to him as well, and he is trying to refrain from obtaining information about the details of the case.
