Law Exemptions Continue in Post-Revolution Armenia: EAPF
The Armenian Environmental Front has published on their Facebook page: “In the Akhtala area, yellow-brown polluted waters are flowing into the Debed River, June 13, 2019. This is yet another alarm from this and other mining areas, yet there has been zero result so far. Unfortunately, mining companies remain outside the law even in post-revolutionary Armenia.
It should be noted that water is being pumped from below this section of the Debed River to irrigate agricultural lands, and the produce grown with that water could end up on anyone's table. Meanwhile, some are still talking about exploiting new metallic mines.” Videos from Kamo Gharsgoyan's page.
