Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Vagharsyan Street in Yerevan

A fatal pedestrian accident occurred today, June 13, in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, around 21:50, 29-year-old Petros Koshkaryan, driving a Ford Transit, struck a pedestrian on the section of Vagharsyan Street leading to the intersection with Hovsep Emin Street, just before the Davitashen Bridge.

The driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance at 1-03 in Yerevan, assisting the victim, a woman aged 50-55, to be taken to Armenia Medical Center.

While law enforcement was working at the scene, a report was received from the hospital that the victim had passed away without regaining consciousness.

A criminal case has been initiated by the police under Part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code. The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identity of the deceased.
