A Citizen Injured Due to Fire Near the Matenadaran
On June 13, at 14:41, the "911" service received a report that a grass-covered area was burning near the Matenadaran on Verin Antarrayin Street in Yerevan. Two fire and rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a response group from the National Crisis Management Center were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that the fire broke out in a plot of land adjacent to a house on Gevorg Emin Street (owner: A.B., born in 1938). The owner A.B. was found in a helpless condition with burns to his legs. Rescuers assisted him to an ambulance, and he was hospitalized at the Scientific Center for Radiation Medicine and Burns.
Doctors assessed the victim's condition as serious, noting he suffered from first, second, and third-degree burns. The fire was contained at 15:24 and extinguished by 15:40. Approximately 2000 square meters of grass cover and accumulated waste burned in the incident.
