Sasun Mikayelyan to Face Accountability: The Issue Reaches the Prime Minister
The 'Pasta' newspaper reports: 'Following the Abovyan elections, Kotayk Province Governor Romanos Petrosyan stated in one of his interviews that MP Sasun Mikayelyan from the 'My Step' faction did not provide any support to our candidate in the Abovyan mayoral elections.'
This declaration is noteworthy in itself. According to sources from 'Pasta' newspaper, the governor has also raised this issue with the Prime Minister, expressing concerns over Mikayelyan's behavior. Sources claim that at the initiative of Romanos Petrosyan, Mikayelyan's conduct of 'washing his hands' will soon become a subject of discussion within the 'Civil Contract' party.
To verify the information, we reached out to Nune Aylanjyan, advisor to the Information and Public Relations Department of the Kotayk Province Administration. She stated that the Prime Minister and the governor did not discuss this matter, however, there will be a discussion in the party, though there is still no clarity regarding the timeline.'
