Robert Kocharian to Withdraw Lawsuit Against Nikol Pashinyan
Plaintiff Robert Kocharian's representative Hayk Alumyann made a surprising statement in court a short while ago. He declared, "If our procedural opponent declares unambiguously that by making this statement, Mr. Pashinyan did not mean Mr. Kocharian, then we are ready to withdraw the lawsuit. In that case, I would request that the hearing be scheduled as soon as possible," said Alumyann.
According to reports from Hayastani Jam, the defendant's representative Gevorg Gyozalayan stated that his client did not mean Robert Kocharian.
The plaintiff's side considers Pashinyan's statement regarding Kocharian's potential release as defamatory, specifically the following excerpt: "Or even the comment about releasing Robert Kocharian. He says he is inviolable. What does it mean to be inviolable? Does that mean one can organize the murder of people and say, 'Am I inviolable? Where is it written like that?'"
