Circumstances of Assaulting a 16-Year-Old Boy Revealed

A Facebook user reported the beating of a minor boy on Chekhov Street in the Shengavit administrative district. The incident received widespread attention on social media.

The police reported that on June 11 at 11:15 a.m., they received a notification from the hospital that an ambulance had transported a 16-year-old boy living in the Silikyan district with a diagnosis of "polytrauma." Police officers from the division for juvenile affairs and family violence prevention were sent to the hospital and took a statement from the victim. A forensic medical examination was ordered.

During the preparation of materials related to the incident, Shengavit police uncovered the circumstances of the event and identified the person responsible for the bodily injuries inflicted on the young man. As a result of explanatory work, an 18-year-old individual voluntarily appeared at the police station and provided an explanation regarding the incident. According to preliminary information, the young men had argued over domestic issues.
