Romanos Petrosyan Reminds Elected and Reelected Officials in Kotayk Province

The Governor of Kotayk Province, Romanos Petrosyan, summarized the results of the local government elections held on Sunday on his Facebook page.

"Summarizing the local government elections, I congratulate all elected and reelected officials, and I urge all citizens of Kotayk Province to demonstrate a sense of entitlement and a high level of civic awareness, exercising public oversight and consistency in the activities of community leaders strictly within the framework of the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Armenia, for the sake of the Republic of Armenia and its citizens.

To the elected and reelected officials in Kotayk Province, I also remind you of the 20 mandatory issues defined by the local government law, and I will personally monitor the resolution process within the powers and authorities assigned to me by the Constitution and legislation:

1. Stable development of the community.
2. Improvement of the business environment and promotion of entrepreneurship.
3. Management of community property.
4. Organization of preschool education and extracurricular upbringing.
5. Organization of cultural life in the community.
6. Social protection of the community's population.
7. Organization of sports life in the community, promotion of physical culture and a healthy lifestyle.
8. Promotion of residential construction in the community.
9. Development, improvement, and greening of community settlements, waste management, and sanitation, ensuring the operations of communal services, as well as the maintenance and functioning of community cemeteries.
10. Organization of public transportation in the community, maintenance and operation of community road infrastructures.
11. Support for the implementation of state protection.
12. Organization and implementation of measures for disaster risk reduction and protection of the population in emergencies and civil defense.
13. Promotion of agricultural development in communities.
14. Environmental protection in the community.
15. Promotion of tourism development in communities.
16. Organization of programs and measures aimed at solving issues of the community's youth.
17. Promotion of birth rates and multiple births in the community.
18. Implementation of programs for the preservation and improvement of the population's health, creating effective and accessible primary healthcare conditions.
19. Encouragement of the participation of people with disabilities in public life in the community.
20. Promotion of charity aimed at establishing, funding, and ensuring financial independence of cultural, educational, scientific, health, sports, social, and other institutions in the community.
