The Current Village Head Reelected in Spandaryan Community
The preliminary counting of votes in the Spandaryan community of Shirak Province has concluded. The candidate for community leader and current mayor, Avetik Mikhtaryan, told News.am that he received 384 votes, while his competitor, Sayad Amlastyan, garnered 234 votes.
It is noteworthy that both candidates are independent and self-nominated. However, according to information from Hraparak, Sayad Amlastyan was supported by the ruling My Step Alliance. Despite Amlastyan having only an 8-year education and having repeated the same grade for two years, the ruling team valued him considering his involvement in blocking streets in a neighboring community during the revolutionary days.
