Wanted Man Surrenders After Phone Conversation with Valery Osipyan: Details on Special Operation in Alapars

As part of the "Wanted 2019" operational preventive measure, information was received at the police's internal security department indicating that a 60-year-old man, wanted for committing an especially serious crime by the Masis police department, was hiding in the village of Alapars in the Kotayk region, specifically at his deceased uncle's house. It was also known that the wanted individual might be armed with a grenade and other weapons.

On June 7, under the leadership of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Valery Osipyan, officers from various police units, including the special purpose department, headed to Alapars. The operation lasted for over 10 hours.
