Armenian Ambassador Urges Armenian Community in Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda to Learn Georgian
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, Ruben Sadoyan, has emphasized the importance of learning the state language of the country—Georgian—during his recent visits to the ethnically Armenian regions of the Republic.
“In the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, particularly in Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda, the majority of the population does not speak Georgian. However, I have recently noticed a change in the situation. Young people are attending universities in Tbilisi, and we welcome this. Incidentally, when I was in Javakheti, I called on citizens to learn Georgian. This will facilitate the integration of Armenians into Georgian society more rapidly,” said Armenian Ambassador Ruben Sadoyan in an interview with Sputnik Georgia.
