Digitalization of Employment Books Announced

The Social Security Service announces that during the meeting of the Government of Armenia on May 23, 2019, a decision was made to extend the deadline for the digitalization of employment books (hereinafter referred to as books) until December 31, 2019.

Based on the above, the Service appeals to all employers and individuals whose books have not yet been digitalized.

The territorial divisions of the Service will resume the acceptance of books on June 4 of this year to organize the digitalization work.

The contact information of the responsible officers of the Service's territorial divisions is posted on the official website of the Service (link: Official Website).

It should be noted that employers who have branches or separate subdivisions must submit the books based on the principle of personnel file management (centralized or according to representations (branches)).

Please note that entries regarding the admission or dismissal of individuals made in digitalized books before January 1, 2019, do not serve as a basis for re-digitalizing and to refrain from unnecessary extensive work.

A physical person's book, in case of impossibility to present it by the individual, may be submitted by another person if there is a simple power of attorney from the subject of the data.

Books of individuals who acquire the right to pension and are pensioners (including employees) during 2019 are not subject to digitalization submission.

In order to avoid excess congestion at the end of the established deadline for the submission of books, the Service urges employers not to delay and to submit the books to the territorial divisions of the Service as soon as possible.

For the purpose of submitting books for digitalization in the prescribed manner, the Service, together with its territorial divisions, is ready to clarify any questions that employers and individuals may have.
