The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, initiated a phone conversation with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, as reported by the Russian side. According to the official publication on the Kremlin's website, issues related to the Russian-Azerbaijani bilateral agenda were discussed.

"The active development of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation and upcoming communications at various levels were discussed," the statement said.

The conversation took place at the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.
