«Hraparak». Intra-Governmental Disputes Between Avinyan and Torosyan
«Hraparak» newspaper reports: “Our sources at the Ministry of Health inform us that recently the relations between Health Minister Arsen Torosyan and Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan have soured. Avinyan is categorically opposed to the anti-smoking law proposed by Torosyan and wants to withdraw it from circulation by sending it for revision.
Torosyan has stated within the ministry that Avinyan is committing an anti-state act by serving the interests of tobacco producers and owners of ‘nargile bars’. He also noted that he would raise the issue at the prime ministerial level and would defeat Avinyan.”
