Tragic Car Accident on Sisian-Goris Road; Driver Dies on Scene

A tragic car accident occurred on the Goris-Sisian road yesterday, resulting in the death of a 59-year-old driver at the scene. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

According to the report, the emergency service received information about the incident on May 26 at 16:02. A rescue team was dispatched to the site from the Ministry's fire and rescue unit. It was determined that a "Jeep Dakar" vehicle (driver: V.S., born in 1960) had veered off the road at the 14th km mark of the Sisian-Goris highway and rolled into a gorge (approximately 100 meters). The driver died at the scene.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle from the power supply and closed the gas cylinder valve. They also recovered the driver’s body and moved it closer to the ambulance.
