Zaruhi Zohrapyan Astounded by Police Chief's Statement on Spontaneous Closure of Court Entrances
“I am astonished by the police chief's statement that the action of blocking the entrances and exits of the courts was spontaneous, especially since just one day prior, the Prime Minister called for the actions to begin at 8:30 AM,” stated National Assembly member Naira Zohrapyan from the Prosperous Armenia faction in an interview with Tert.am.
“If this is spontaneous, then an action announced in advance is also spontaneous, and the law on rallies should be amended to stipulate that if the time and location of an action are declared in advance, it can be considered spontaneous based on discretion and political expediency,” emphasized Zohrapyan.
Recall that after today’s government meeting, Police Chief Valeri Osipyan stated that the action to block court entrances and exits was spontaneous, and that the police were not constrained in their actions. “I think it was a spontaneous action, a gathering,” he said.
