Names of Armenians Injured in Tourist Bus Accident in Italy Revealed
Two citizens of the Republic of Armenia, Margarita Gyulumyan (born June 10, 1982) and Nina Mehrabyan (born April 24, 1987), were among those injured in a tourist bus accident on the Siena-Florence highway in Italy. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Italy.
Nina Mehrabyan sustained minor injuries and has been discharged after receiving appropriate medical assistance. Margarita Gyulumyan is currently undergoing medical examinations.
Earlier, it was reported that a tourist bus flipped over near the city of Siena, resulting in 1 death and 19 injuries. The incident occurred on the morning of May 22 at 11:00 AM Yerevan time, and the cause of the accident is still unknown, though there is a theory that the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The bus was carrying about 60 tourists from Russia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. Italian rescuers evacuated passengers, some of whom were trapped inside the bus. Other tourists were able to exit on their own.
