Georgian President Accuses Saakashvili of Anti-State Activities

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has described the appeal made by former leader Mikheil Saakashvili to his supporters as "anti-constitutional and anti-state," as reported by eadaily.com.

Zurabishvili stated on her official Facebook page that the former president's "openly anti-constitutional and anti-state declarations concern her."

The president believes that Saakashvili's call for unrest constitutes not only a crime but also an offense to the state.

Earlier, Saakashvili had urged his supporters in a Facebook video message to storm local self-government elections and the current authorities.

"We must attack, attack, and only attack. Each time we are deprived of elections, they are falsified. Ivanishvili resorts to various tricks every time," Saakashvili had said.

It is noteworthy that Saakashvili's wife, Sandra Roelofs, is running for mayor in Zugdidi.
