Rubinyan on the Presence of Artsakh Presidents at Kocharyan's Trial
The Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee, Ruben Rubinyan, addressed reporters regarding the attendance of former and current Artsakh presidents at the trial of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, stating that he views this occurrence as a fact.
"I consider it a fact, and I do not believe that anything can harm the brotherhood of the people of Artsakh and Armenia," Rubinyan said.
Rubinyan also reacted to the Prime Minister's statement about turning Artsakh into a center of counter-revolution.
"The Prime Minister said that if any forces attempt to turn Artsakh into a center of counter-revolution, the people of Artsakh will transform it into a center of revolution, and I agree with that assertion. It is no secret that the media periodically reports on some tensions. The Prime Minister made this remark in this context, considering those discussions, and essentially stated that such a danger does not exist and cannot exist for the simple reason that the people of Artsakh are part of the Armenian people," Rubinyan noted.
Yesterday, on the day of the trial concerning Robert Kocharyan, the current president of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, and former president Arkadi Ghukasyan asserted their guarantee for Kocharyan's release at the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court.
