Lavrov-Mnatsakanyan Meeting Discussed Robert Kocharyan's Imprisonment
The newspaper "Joghouvour" reports: "It is no secret that after the imprisonment of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, the Russian side has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction and explicitly stated that they do not like this situation.
Moreover, according to the newspaper's information, the recent meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan was not only about the Artsakh conflict; during their talks, there was also a reference to the imprisonment of Robert Kocharyan, with a clear statement made once again that he should be released.
The Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, addressing the Russian side's dissatisfaction regarding Kocharyan, stated: "You know, I do not wish to comment on any sensitive issues as an ambassador, because my words can be interpreted differently and taken as interference in internal affairs, which I have no right to do naturally."
