There Must Be Something Beneath for It to Be Possible: Tsarukyan on His Possible Mandate Revocation

The Member of the National Assembly of Armenia and leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, is convinced that there are no grounds for revoking his parliamentary mandate. He stated this in a conversation with reporters today.

When journalists asked Tsarukyan whether he considers it possible for a process to begin to revoke his mandate, he responded, “There must be something beneath for it to be possible. Since a complaint has been filed, they are obliged to process the complaint, to listen, and to make a decision according to the Constitution.”

It is noteworthy that Suren Sahakyan, the secretary of the executive body of the Citizen’s Decision Party, has submitted a request to the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, asking to appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding the cessation of the powers of the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, MP Gagik Tsarukyan.
