Former employees of the zoo claim that the current director, Ruben Khachatryan, is euthanizing animals for profit. “He has illegally euthanized three healthy lions and has been receiving money for them for several months,” said former employee Manuk Manukyan in an interview with Factinfo, who was dismissed for speaking out about the director's decision to gift a pony to Ashot Bleyan.
