Search for Replacement for David Sanasaryan
According to the "Zhoghvorud" newspaper, rumors have circulated that David Sanasaryan, the head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), is also in a suspicious position regarding the criminal case opened by the National Security Service (NSS) concerning the procurement of hemodialysis equipment.
As a result, discussions about Sanasaryan's resignation have intensified.
According to information from "Zhoghvorud," within governmental circles, the candidacy of Tigran Ulihanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction, is currently being considered as a replacement for Sanasaryan.
It is noteworthy that he served as the deputy head of the SRC before becoming a member of parliament following the Velvet Revolution. However, in an interview with "Zhoghvorud," Ulihanyan stated, "I have not been informed of such a desire, and I have not received such an offer."
Incidentally, according to reports received, the basis for involving Sanasaryan as a suspect stems from testimony provided by Gevorg Khachatryan, an SRC employee who previously worked at the Ministry of Defense and was dismissed after a scandalous procurement case.
As for Sanasaryan, he is said to be in need of protection at this time.
