No Territories to Surrender. No Return to the Past. Naira Zohrabyan
No territories to surrender. This is what Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Artsakh parliamentary group, wrote on her Facebook page in response to the statement made yesterday by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group, which emphasized the necessity of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on the Madrid principles.
“Yesterday's statement by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group regarding the resolution of the Artsakh issue raises certain questions. I will respond more explicitly to those once our Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides clarifications on some formulations of that statement. For instance, why do the co-chairs not mention the agreements made in Vienna and St. Petersburg, which Azerbaijan has consistently disregarded?”
“And when Aliyev declares, ‘The factor of force has always been and remains on our agenda,’ it is unclear what surrounding areas the co-chairs are talking about in terms of return.”
“One thing is clear: there is no return to the past; we have paid a very high price,” she wrote.
