Everything in Our Country is Mixed Up: Sharmazanov

Edvard Sharmazanov, the spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia, stated on his Facebook page:

"Everything in our country is mixed up: promises are made for salary increases and job creation, while optimizations and job cuts are being implemented.

They promise love and solidarity while preaching hatred.

They promise the absence of vendettas but carry out political arrests. The list goes on.

They promise the rule of law while granting amnesty to those involved in a terrorist act that seized the police station of their own state.

Those who would be in prison in any democratic country for seizing police resources are currently conducting political activities freely in Armenia. This is absurd.

Now they declare that the participants in the terrorist act of seizing the police station are pioneers of the revolution. This is not only an insult to the memory of the fallen policemen but also a challenge to the foundations and security of the state.

Instead of organizing marches and various spectacles, the government of Nikol should think about the internal security challenges.

Yes, the cup of patience has overflowed, and the participants in the terrorist act that conducted an armed attack against their own state must receive the punishment prescribed by law, not demand requirements.

P.S. It’s a shame... You have arrested President Kocharian, yet released those who seized the police station with weapons.

Think about it, gentlemen. Don’t say afterward that I didn’t warn you."
