New Rules for Plane Boarding Passengers in Russia

As of today, a decree from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has come into effect, allowing passengers at Russian airports to board airplanes using special electronic boarding passes (электронный посадочный талон).

Now, when registering for a flight online, passengers will receive electronic boarding passes. However, it will still be possible to obtain the boarding pass at the time of flight registration, just like before.

Airlines are also obligated to inform passengers about the option to use electronic boarding passes.
