Serzh Sargsyan and Seyran Ohanyan Interrogated in a Confrontational Format

According to 'Haykakan Zamanak', Serzh Sargsyan and former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan were interrogated in a confrontational format at the Special Investigative Service of the Republic of Armenia days ago.

However, this investigative action is not related to the March 1 case; it has been carried out within the scope of another criminal case, in which both Serzh Sargsyan and Seyran Ohanyan hold the status of witnesses.

It should be noted that Article 216 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia stipulates that the investigator is entitled to conduct a confrontation between two individuals previously interrogated, whose testimonies contain significant discrepancies.

However, the Special Investigative Service keeps the initiated criminal case confidential and does not even specify under which article it has been initiated.

Regarding both the criminal case and the confrontational interrogation, the SIS only responded to our inquiries with the following: 'We do not comment.'
