Names of 12 Ministries Revealed
The discussions regarding the structure of the Armenian government have concluded, and the names of 12 ministries have been revealed.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister's Office, the new government will consist of the following ministries:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Defense
- Ministry of Emergency Situations
- Ministry of Justice
- Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
- Ministry of Education, Science, Culture
- Ministry of Environment
- Ministry of Health
- Ministry of Finance
- Ministry of Economic Affairs
- Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure
- Ministry of High-Tech Industry
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on February 8 that instead of the Ministry of Diaspora, a new position of the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs will be created within the Prime Minister's Office. The commissioner will be the representative of the Prime Minister in relations with the Diaspora and will coordinate government activities regarding the Diaspora on behalf of the Prime Minister.
The draft of the new government structure will be presented to the National Assembly soon.
